Adsorption of Methylene Blue from Aqueous Solutions by Silk Cocoon
This study concerns the performance of cocoons spun by silk worms as a natural adsorbent for removal of Methylene Blue (MB) from aqueous solutions. To study the adsorption process, the effect of various parameters such as contact time, adsorbent dosage, dye initial concentration, and pH of the solution were investigated. According to the experiments, the kinetic data were best described by ...

متن کاملStudy of Inhibition and Adsorption Properties of Mild Steel Corrosion by Expired Pharmaceutical Gentamicin Drug in Hydrochloric acid media
This experiment avoids pollution and recycles of the drugs and also promotes economically benefited inhibitor. In this experiment expired Gentamicin drug was under studied for testing its inhibitive effect on mild steel in 1 M HCl acid medium with the weight loss and electrochemical techniques. The Various parameters were calculated such as corrosion rate, inhibition efficiency and surface cove...
متن کاملExtraction of Alumina from Local Clays by Hydrochloric Acid Process
A bench work study was carried out to investigate the use of kaolinitic clay containing 29.4% Al2O3 extremely abundant in Saudi Arabia for the production of pure alumina by calcination at 700 o C for 1h (recommended by previous investigators) then leached by hydrochloric acid. The effects of leaching temperature (25 o C to boiling temperature), period of activation (10-150 minutes), acid concen...
متن کاملThe Combination of Edestin with Hydrochloric Acid
Electromotive force measurements of cells without liquid junction, of the type Ag, AgCl, HCl + protein, H(2), lead to the conclusion that 1 gm. of edestin (or, more probably, edestan) combines with a maximum of 13.4 x 10(-4) equivalents of H(+) and 3.9 x 10(-4) equivalents of Cl(-), when the protein is dissolved in 0.1 M HCl.
